Reviewers should avoid using generative AI or AI-assisted tools to analyse or critique papers, as these techniques can yield inaccurate, incomplete, or biased results. They lack the critical judgment required for the evaluation process. Reviewers accept full responsibility and accountability for the content of their review reports. If AI techniques are used for minimal editing support, this should be clearly stated in the review comments.
