Plagiarism Policy
Bhakta Journal of Public Health is committed to ensuring the originality of all published articles. All manuscripts submitted to the journal will be screened for plagiarism using plagiarism detection software before being sent to reviewers.
The journal defines plagiarism as the use of another author's work, ideas, data, or words without proper acknowledgment. This includes:
- Direct copying of text without citation
- Paraphrasing without proper attribution
- Using data, figures, or tables without permission
- Self-plagiarism (duplicate publication)
- Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals
Similarity Index Policy
The journal applies the following similarity guidelines:
- Similarity index below 20%: acceptable, may proceed to review
- Similarity index 20–30%: requires revision before review
- Similarity index above 30%: rejected due to high similarity
Editors will also examine the similarity report to ensure that overlaps are not from references, templates, or methodological descriptions.
Actions for Plagiarism
If plagiarism is detected:
Before publication
- The manuscript will be rejected
- Authors may be asked to revise or clarify
- Authors may receive a warning
After publication
- The article may be retracted
- A retraction notice will be published
- Authors' institutions may be notified
- Authors may be banned from future submissions
Author Responsibility
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are original and properly cited. All submissions must be free from plagiarism and academic misconduct.
