Author Guidelines

1. General Information

Bhakta Journal of Public Health publishes original research articles, review articles, and short communications in the field of public health. Manuscripts must be written in English and submitted through the journal's online submission system.

All submissions must be original and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

2. Types of Manuscripts

The journal accepts the following types of articles:

  • Original Research Articles
  • Systematic Reviews / Literature Reviews
  • Short Communications
  • Case Studies (Public Health)
  • Policy Analysis (optional if you want)

3. Manuscript Preparation

Language

Manuscripts must be written in clear and concise English.

File Format

  • Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
  • A4 paper size
  • Times New Roman
  • Font size 12
  • 1.5 line spacing
  • Margin 2.5 cm on all sides

4. Manuscript Structure

Title Page

The title page must include:

  • Title of the manuscript
  • Author(s) full name
  • Affiliation(s)
  • Corresponding author email
  • ORCID ID (optional but recommended)

Abstract

  • Maximum 250 words
  • Written in one paragraph
  • Include: Background, Objective, Methods, Results, Conclusion
  • Provide 3–5 keywords

For Original Research Articles

  5. Conclusion
  6. Acknowledgments (optional)
  7. Conflict of Interest
  8. References

5. Tables and Figures

  • Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively
  • Provide clear titles and captions
  • Tables must be editable (not images)
  • Figures must be high resolution (minimum 300 dpi)
  • Source must be included if adapted

6. References

  • Use Vancouver style
  • References should be numbered in order of appearance
  • Use reference management software (Mendeley, Zotero, EndNote) recommended

Journal article:
Smith J, Lee K. Public health intervention effectiveness. J Public Health. 2022;15(2):123-130.

Book:
WHO. Global Health Report. Geneva: World Health Organization; 2021.

7. Ethical Considerations

  • Research involving human subjects must include ethical approval
  • Informed consent must be obtained where applicable
  • Authors must declare conflict of interest

8. Plagiarism Policy

All manuscripts will be screened using plagiarism detection software. The similarity index must comply with the journal's plagiarism policy.

9. Submission Process

Authors must submit manuscripts through the online submission system and follow these steps:

  1. Start submission
  2. Upload manuscript file
  3. Enter metadata
  4. Upload supplementary files (if any)
  5. Confirm submission

10. Article Processing Charges

Bhakta Journal of Public Health does not charge any submission or publication fees. All articles are published free of charge.

11. Copyright

Authors retain copyright of their work. Published articles are distributed under open-access policy.

12. Review Process

All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review. The editorial decision may be:

  • Accept
  • Minor Revision
  • Major Revision
  • Reject
